SuperSeal30 Gloss 5 Gallon

+
-

SuperSeal30 can be used for Stamped Concrete, Stamped Cement, Decorative Cement, Bricks, Acid Stained Cement, Concrete Stains, and Exposed Aggregate. SuperSeal enhances the natural color of your Brick Pavers and Cement with a "wet" look.
SuperSeal30 can be applied with a 1/2" roller cover. You cannot use a sprayer.

SuperSeal30 will help sand erosion reducing the amount of weeds.

One coat is recommended. Coverage is about 100 feet per gallon or 500 feet per five gallon.

One coat will result in a high gloss sheen depending on porosity of brick. Extra coats will result in a higher gloss.

What is the average wear time for your Super Seal30 Gloss sealer.
We also have chip spots on the stamped driveway and wondering what to do prior to sealing with your product. Driveway installer will not return calls. Thanks for your help.
Paul Mailhot , December 24, 2011
re: average wear time for your Super Seal30 Gloss sealer.
Typically SuperSeal30 will need to be reapplied every 2 years.

You cannot stop chipping with a sealer. This is a concrete issue. Sealing may slow it down a little.

askig for advice
I have a very long driveway and through time it is showing normal wear and tear, no chipping, no cracks. I live in New York. I wanted to add color into the concrete and sealer....what would you recommend I do?

Thank you

re: asking for advice
Adding a "wet look" sealer such as the SuperSeal 30 will darken the color as if wet with water and leave a shine.

What type of surface is the driveway? Pavers, stamped concrete, regular white concrete?

super seal 30 gloss
How shiny is this product. I have seen some pavers with a coat that is super shinny almost as if there is a piece of glass on top. do you have a product like that?
robert , January 23, 2012
re: super seal 30 gloss
The shine level depends on the porosity of the substrate, how many coats applied, and if the surface has been sealed before.

In general it has a very good gloss but creating a "glass" like look to the surface is a bad idea.

Can this be used for indoor surface sealing?
I laid down a thin coat concrete that I stained, in my entryway, dining and living room it is textured and not shiny at all. Can I apply this to get give it a sleek shiny look indoors?

re: Can this be used for indoor surface sealing?
Yes this would work for indoors but it would have a very strong odor. Might want to look at this instead:

I appreciate reading all the reviews and your information on the superseal 30. It has been very informative. I'm getting ready to seal my recently installed pavers on my pool deck. I had Tremron pavers installed and I live in Forida. I just want to be sure this is the right product. I do want the wet look and to darken the colors on my pool deck. Am I on the right path? I do not want this to leave a white residue and as such I will seal when it's completly dry. What nap/brand roller is recommended for the superseal 30 and how best to apply...dip the roller right into the 5 gallon bucket, pour the sealer into a mteal paiters pan and roll from there, etc. Your information is most helpful.

Regards,
Wayne Miller

re: I had Tremron pavers installed and I live in Forida
Yes the SuperSeal30 will work for your pavers. It darkens the color and leaves a gloss shine. Non-yellowing breathable sealer that it is not prone to turning milky white.

Easiest to apply with a "sponge" type roller. Just dip the roller into the bucket and spread at 100 feet per gallon.

Thanks!

Before I buy one more question
I have 1300 square feet of paver brick drive way. Its clean with no oil or stains. I propose using super seal 30 high gloss after washing off. Letting it dry completely a day or two. re sanding and apply the superseal 30 high gloss by roller which from my understanding is a oil based solution. I live in central Florida am I on the right track is my question.
Larry E. Allen , February 23, 2012
re: Before I buy one more question
Yes but a couple of notes:

SuperSeal30 is solvent based not oil based.

Rolling is fine but you do need to be careful with newly installed sand. Rollers can "pull" the sand out of the joints, leaving sand on top of the pavers. You need to be careful that this does not happen.
ConcreteSealerStore , February 23, 2012
resand
Sorry guys just want to make sure about re-sanding. Should I re-sand before or after the sealer. My understanding is before and to be sparing with the sand as it doesn't need to come up to the top of the pavers. Thanks for your patience as can only afford to do it once every 2 years and want to make sure.

Larry
Larry E. Allen , February 23, 2012
re: resand
Before will help solidify the sand. If rolling the sealer:

1. Make sure that the sand is down at least a 1/4 inch from the top of the pavers. Lower is better with the sand. Use a leaf blower to get the sand evenly down in the cracks.

2. Use a yellow "sponge" type roller. These have a tendency to not get as deep in the joint cracks.

3. Pay attention! If you see sand getting stuck in large clumps on top of the pavers, stop! Easier to fix a small section then the entire driveway.

Does the Super 30 gloss solvent based sealer start off white in color or clear in color?
Wade Hall , March 24, 2012
re: Super 30 gloss solvent based sealer start off white in color or clear in color?
Clear since it is a solvent based sealer. White is only water based sealers.

cunfuzed , March 26, 2012
re: stamped driveway
Acid washing does not work on previously sealed surfaces.

Yes the SuperSeal30 is a great sealer for driveways and will hold up to vehicle traffic.

2 years is normal for driveways. Nothing will last longer.

I have recently installed concrete pavers and am thinking of sealing with SuperSeal30. I am curious if this is a penetrating sealer or if it forms a film. Thanks.
Uday , April 06, 2012
re: if this is a penetrating sealer or if it forms a film
Actually both. It soaks in and slightly films. It is a breathable sealer as well.

New paver install in Arizona
Looking for a super wet look product that is easy to apply and can hold up to the desert heat. We have approx 2000sf. of pavers that should be completed in a couple of days. We want to enhance and protect them but do not want to risk ruining them at the same time.
Richard , April 10, 2012
re: New paver install in Arizona
The SuperSeal30 is our high gloss sealer. One coat is needed and coverage is 500 sq. feet per pail. You would need 4 pails for the 2000 sq. feet.

stamped concrete
I'm looking to apply a sealer for the first time since the concrete was installed 3 years ago. It was sealed initially. The description of the installation was called a "textured skin". I would like to enhance the highlights of the concrete. Would you recommend this product?

re: stamped concrete
It should work but I have never heard of anything called "textured skin"

Stamped concrete color issues
I am looking to re-seal my stamped concrete patio that was installed a year ago. The color is supposed to be a deep and rich burgundy color but white/gray colors have overtaken many areas. I attempted to re-emulsify that sealant by rolling on two coats of Xylene. When wet, the color is correct but once it dries the white/gray reappears in affected areas. I was under the advice to remove the previous sealer (unknown) by wiping Xylene on the surface with a rag then applying a new sealer. Would the SuperSeal30 gloss permanently darken these spots (color is correct when wet)and be an appropriate fix?
Matt , May 31, 2012
re: Stamped concrete color issues
The only way to fix you issue is to remove the failed sealer with a stripper and start over: Concrete Sealer Stripper

hazing
After two heavy coats of super seal I am still seeing a little haze. The drive was power washed with a 3000 psi washer and dried for days. I waited about two to three weeks before the second coat was applied. It was june when it was done so temp was good. Could it be a problem with the aggergate or with the sealer or either?
erickj , August 22, 2012
re: hazing
Hazing can happen form many reasons and typically is from over application or trapped moisture. Typically it is trapped moisture. I would apply a little solvent such as xylene to the affected areas. it should remove the hazing.

Two years ago a contractor pour a patio and used a stamp board, then applied dry power color to the concrete before it dried. Then the next day he washed off the excess powered and then applied Kure and Seal 30 as the sealer. Some of the concrete is starting to show where the color has worn. I want a high gloss wet look. What do you recommend?

Bubbles
I recently applied super seal 30(fathers day) on my patio, the day was overcast 70degree no rain.. I had waited 24-30 after power washing area. Today it was very hot in the after noon and I noticed bubbles? I put on 2 light coats used 3/4 of a 5 gallon on a 550 sq ft area. #1 Is there anything I can do now? #2 Over the next few days it is going to get hot will this problem get worse?

Should i try to add some shade at this point(card board) ? patio gets hot by 3-pm
Jose Rodriguez , June 17, 2013

This is from over application. Get a solvent called xylene and spray the bubbles late in the evening when the sun goes down. They should go away.

Old pavers
I have very old pavers some are discolored with a white color from plant chemicals won't wash off. My question is what prep will I need to do to prepare these pavers and will this treatment waterproof them the pavers.
Janet , July 10, 2013

It will seal the pavers. I would use a general concrete cleaner and a pressure washer for the prep.

Super seal 25 vs 30
I am resealing some stamped/colored concrete that was sealed shortly after it was poured just over a year ago. I live in Southern California. Could you please educate me on the difference/benefit, etc between your 25 and 30 product. Also, am I required to use a low VOC product in Ca? Thanks.

SuperSeal 30 over another sealer
I have another sealer that we tested on a corner of our brick paver stone patio. It does not give a glossy look like we wanted. Can we continue to use the sealer we already have and then put the Super Sealer 30 on top?

These bricks have never been sealed.

I did quite a bit of research online after buying some terrible products at Home Depot and Lowes. I decided to try Super Seal 30 based on the 30% solids spec and frankly, a lot of good reviews. It was even better than I expected. Take the time to do a good job on the preparation and you will be blown away by the results. I did a stamped concrete patio that I thought was beyond repair (with our brutally wet/cold winters in Seattle). I liked it so much that I decided to do the aggregate driveway and I'm equally as impressed. This product is awesome. Only a little more than the other junk and so much better.

I have always been using the supersealer 30 for my brick paver driveway and I'm happy with it. Now, I have a brand new travertine pool deck. I need to know can I use this same product on my TRAVERTINE POOL DECK?
Barry To , January 21, 2014
...
Barry To, the SS30 is not suggested for natural stone as it will darken appearance but may show natural imperfections that result in a blotchy appearance. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes not. Really depends on your Travertine. Might want to do a test spot to see.
