Non-Gloss Water Based Sealer

SuperSeal Brick-M is a water based Silicone Water Repellent  made of a special hybrid of Silane and Siloxane. SuperSeal-M provides water repellency to porous construction material such as bricks, stone, concrete blocks,  mortar, and grout. It is not suitable for very low-porosity substrates such as polished stone. It will not leave a sheen or "wet" look.

The active ingredients in SuperSeal-M Water Repellent Sealer are a mixture of different-size particles, some larger, some smaller to fill different size voids. This ensures good penetration into porous substrates, resulting in good coverage and durable water repellency. Additionally, the active ingredients in SuperSeal-M Water Repellent can chemically react with the substrate, ensuring long-lasting performance.

Water Beads up fast on substrates treated with SuperSeal-M Water Repellent Sealer. The product's excellent water repellent and fast beading action are immediately apparent. What you will not see is any change in the substrates appearance.

This product offers significant advantages:

  • It can be applied to "Green" concrete once bleed water is gone.
  • Prevent Spalling from salt and freeze/thaw damage.
  • Fast beading action-excellent water repellency.
  • Non-SiH: Easy to store and handle.
  • Low VOC-Supports your regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Water Based-Easy to use and clean up.
  • Will not add a slippery film.

I used this on a some concrete a few years ago. i would like to put an overlay on that concrete now. is there another product to treat the surface of the concrete to remove the sealer or does it need to be ground down.

You cannot strip this sealer as it reacts internally with the concrete.

How long after application to walk on the concrete? How long for automobile traffic? Does it need to be rain-free for 24 hours?

As soon as it is dry, you can walk on it. 24 hours for vehicles. Rain will not harm it once it is dry.

You cannot apply a penetrating sealer like the SS-M over stained concrete.

We have some cracks in joints and small hairline cracks in our slab. Should you apply anything else to cracks in concrete before applying SuperSeal M?

      No.

Ok great. And still only apply one coat in those areas? There are a few places the concrete is flaking away near the cracks. Do we need anything else on those areas and should we removed the lose pieces or apply the Superseal M over all of it and leave the loose pieces? I included a picture to show you what I am dealing with. Thanks for your help!

          ConcreteSealerStore · 09/28/2021
Just one coat. No need to do anything to the loose concrete. The sealer and any product we have will not fix those spots.

I understand that. We are trying to protect the slab and it's flaws as best we can. Superseal won't damage those spots further, right? We don't want the incoming snow/ cold weather to cause more damage and in the very least possibly slow down any further damage.

For applying Superseal-M with a hand pump sprayer, how fine should the spray be... fine mist, powerful stream, or somewhere in between?  Do shingles and plants need to be protected from Superseal-M?

We just used this product on a brick wall and the client wants it to be 'more' sealed. Which additional product of yours can we now apply to make it 'dust proof' over super seal M?

I’ve just completed a new concrete driveway. I would like a sealer that is clear and won’t change the color of my concrete. Not interested in glossy finish. Looking for non-yellowing, water and stain resistant. Which product will best work best?

Another question regarding applying Supersealer M on travertine pavers around a pool. Should I pretreat the pool coping with a roller or brush so as not to spray the sealer in the pool?

      ConcreteSealerStore · 11/16/2020
Yes, you should not spray in the pool so edge out around the pool with a brush or pad.

The Super Seal-M does not change or alter the appearance once it dries. Not sure how you would be able to see "light" areas?

Should this be used on Chicago common brick, the building is over 100 years old and I don't want to do anything to damage the brick.

In addition, can I use a roller, it's hard to get a sprayer over 20 feet in the air.
    • We will reply to your comment shortly
      ConcreteSealerStore · 08/17/2020
You can use this on the brick. It needs to be sprayed. A ladder will reach 20 feet.

Can I use a paint roller to apply this and a brush to apply to the edges of my patio near the grass?

Best to spray it all and not roll or brush. Take a large piece of cardboard and use that to edge out the grass when spraying. Just hold as a barrier when spraying.
